Liverpool is on the verge of signing Milos Kerkez, a left-back, from Bournemouth. The transfer, worth £40m, is reportedly all but done, with a long-term deal agreed upon between the clubs, according to Fabrizio Romano. The player is expected to undergo a medical examination in the coming days.
Kerkez, who plays as a left-back, previously played for AZ Alkmaar before joining Bournemouth. His style of play has been a subject of interest for several top clubs, with Liverpool emerging as the likely destination. Manchester United had also shown interest in the player last year, but Liverpool’s persistent efforts have now paid off.
The transfer plan, initially conceived in May, has now been confirmed, with all parties having agreed on the terms. The deal is expected to be finalised soon, with Kerkez joining Liverpool on a long-term contract.
