Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah is set to join Bayer Leverkusen after agreeing to a deal worth £30m plus £5m. The centre-back is expected to undergo a medical examination at the German club on Monday. As part of the agreement, Liverpool have included a buy-back clause, which could be worth up to £70m, depending on certain add-ons, with a minimum value of £60m. Quansah, who plays as a centre-back, has been with Liverpool since securing a long-term contract in October 2024. According to Fabrizio Romano, the transfer has been finalised, with the initial fee confirmed.

Quansah’s style of play and previous performances at Liverpool have been documented in recent transfer speculation, with Newcastle United previously showing interest in the player in March 2025. The defender has been under contract with Liverpool, and the club has now agreed to release him to Bayer Leverkusen.
