Background on Tuchel’s Departure
This announcement does not come as a surprise, as there have been multiple confirmations of Tuchel’s impending departure. The manager himself confirmed his early contract termination with Bayern on May 3, 2024. Prior to this, on May 1, 2024, it was reported that Tuchel would be leaving the club after the season’s conclusion. Further back, on April 21 and April 19, the departure was confirmed by both the director and Tuchel respectively. These statements align with the director’s latest confirmation, marking a clear end to Tuchel’s association with Bayern Munich by June 2024.
