Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is set to finalize the transfer of goalkeeper Matvey Safonov from FC Krasnodar in June. The deal, which has been agreed upon by all parties involved, will see Safonov join the French giants on a contract that extends until 2029.
According to club sources, the transfer fee for Safonov is set at €20 million, including add-ons, marking the highest sale in Krasnodar’s history. The Russian goalkeeper’s move to PSG has been in the pipeline, with negotiations reaching a conclusion recently.
Safonov, who has been a key player for Krasnodar, is expected to bring a new dynamic to PSG’s goalkeeping lineup. His arrival is part of PSG’s strategy to bolster their squad as they continue to compete at the highest levels of European football.
