Arsenal has secured a €9m fee from Lazio for the sale of left-back Nuno Tavares, as part of a loan deal with an obligation to buy clause. The 24-year-old Portuguese defender, known for his attacking prowess, had joined Lazio on loan in July 2024, with the Italian club subsequently activating the buy clause.

The deal, which was finalised last year, also includes a sell-on clause in favour of Arsenal. Meanwhile, midfielder Albert Sambi-Lokonga has returned to Arsenal after his loan spell at Sevilla came to an end. Sambi-Lokonga, who plays as a central midfielder, had joined Sevilla on loan in July 2024, according to reports. The 24-year-old Belgian international is known for his box-to-box style of play.
