According to his recent post, Kerkez stated, “I don’t know what will happen next week but… cherries family, thank you”. This ambiguous message has sparked speculation about his future.
Kerkez, known for his attacking style of play, has previously played for AZ Jongen and Jong PSV. The 21-year-old left-back has been with Bournemouth since joining from SC Heerenveen in 2022, with according to a transfer history. Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Kerkez, having been in advanced talks with Bournemouth earlier this month, as reported on 2025-05-19. Manchester United had also been linked with the player earlier in the summer, on 2024-06-05.
