Manchester City’s Argentine midfielder Maximo Perrone is set to play for Como next season, as revealed in April, under the management of Fabregas. Perrone, who plays as a central midfielder, joined Como on loan from Manchester City in August 2024. The deal included a +1 year loan extension clause, which allows Como to extend the loan for another year.
According to reports, Como has offered €12m for a permanent transfer, while Manchester City are seeking a €30m package to finalise the deal. Talks between the two clubs are ongoing. Perrone’s style of play is that of a deep-lying midfielder, capable of controlling the tempo of the game. Prior to joining Manchester City, Perrone played for Vélez Sarsfield in his native Argentina.
Perrone’s move to Como was initially reported on August 20, 2024, when it was announced that Como were set to submit a bid for the player. The deal was later confirmed on August 22, 2024, with Como securing the loan deal. Perrone arrived at Como on August 23, 2024, alongside Sergi Roberto and Nico Páz.
